OEI to deliver multiphase consultation to Qualicum Beach Airport

Operations Economics Inc. (OEI) is pleased to announce it has been engaged by the Town of Qualicum Beach, BC, to provide a multiphase assessment of the town’s airport.

“We’re excited to be assisting the Town Council in making informed decisions regarding the future of its airport,” said OEI President Rob Beynon. “This is a uniquely beautiful part of the world with a growing population.”

Qualicum Beach, population 9,300, is a popular retirement and summer vacation destination on Vancouver Island.

The airport offers scheduled, twice daily flights to Vancouver International Airport provided by Iskwew Air. It is home to an active aviation community that also includes aircraft maintenance, regional medevac services, and skydiving.

The first phase of the consultation, interviewing key stakeholders, is already underway. Future phases will include a situation briefing and opportunities for public engagement.
